Katun v “civilization”

As per my “forewords” ..I decided to do my utmost to complete this 50 chapters at KATUN Lanista

(I was tempted to Call my kind host Jovana Cersei ? this morning , but her own drama did not allow for that jocular moment, I felt this morning , awake at 03h, as often happens at “motel madness” (B.P.) but it wasn’t just the nearby traffic noise , instinct told me there was going to be a “problem”..

Well the train, for once left on time , its only 35 minutes ride , to the “pick up point” previously agreed..

I had already sent a message before leaving my room at the motel, to say, “if YOU have any delays I will wait at the station caffe:  ..the train was eary so didn’t expect their jeep to be there..last time they were early and my train was late! …

So , had a coffee only 1e , in the station , not particularly because I wanted to, but so I could catch up on messages , sent a mail to say that I had arrived, and tried to be calm, I could always take the 11.30-ish return train…IF..

She sent another mail, she was on her way, so no need for panic, there wasn’t ever a need for panic, but my instincts confirmed when Jovana, in mixed English & Serbian explained the bad weather had caused a disaster with their cows,  I just reminded me of lifes priorities, my focus is on completing these chapters, her & her Uncle had REAK problems …I saw at least one COW being hauled away… a big loss for a small farm commune!

However, an arrival at a windy KATUN, the sun shines, she brings me more brunch than I need, before returning to her duties, I want to offer help…but I am not in the family I am a mere guest, gost…GHOST.,,,here..

Since 2010

I have encountered many locals, of all ages , many who have or want to go abroad,. I ask WHY?  You LIVE in HEAVEN,  ..no jobs…yet this is one of the most fertile lands in Europe.. perfect for growing just about anything. IN Danilvgrad, at the house I should have been buying, but for another tricky property owner <P.Ivanovic> I had over 300 KIWI one year on my terrace..

But students want to be in office, or tourism, work as waiters, barmen or even drive taxis, not that I have a  problem with any honest work, but this insane “Monty” IMPORTS fruit & veg!  They could be EXPORT-rich, a lot of sun, average 240 days per year, and a lot of rain in winter,

… I am hating the sound of traffic, as I walk to town from the motel, most days, I make detours to get away from the traffic which pours from the border…

Day &  night…

Arguably some part of my ancestry was KELTS, who, 3000 years ago, occupied the mountains, lands & coats of continental Europe.. it is reckoned, from the books I studied, that they had a water network for trading of about 30,000 kms & similar t natives of the Americas ; lived off the land, moving when necessary, without “concrete” … instead, the world, local & global has become a “construction site”  build cheap- sell expensive; maximize profit, which of course causes speculation & inflation, exactly what the sharks Hawks & jacks want, so YOU have to work longer hours to pay off your credit, or mortgage or rent…

Its dark, having these thoughts as I look out on the beautiful panorama of Katun..Bogavac-Lanista..hoping to get the reaction from the family this evening … without too much “lost in translation”

The mother came to me and in broken  English/Serbian explained that the mood was not good for such an “unfamiliar” connection between their close family and a “guest” … so I wrote via the internal mail <B.com> “ I know today is difficult here, u should have let me return to BP, as I don't want to be  "a cold hearted guest, disconnected  from your realistic situation" ,, u and the family can talk to me when u are ready,, and  relaxed, I sent an email to Jovana this afternoon... best wishes and commiserations ChRiS  “
