Kazakhstan fascinated me, that it is not NAzTO connected and Russian associated, the “home of Borat”…and I liked the girl from there who visited me, certainly not the image of Cohens joke..
So I responded to a volunteer posting on CSING group… but the eventual communications indicated the poster (N) wanted someone <probably young> with “standard documentary qualifications> on the other hand he did not seem to respect my over qualified but PERMANENT proposal, as I would only move for a permanent location after spending the most time I have in any country as adult in “Monty”..
I have trained trainers, managed managers and TAUGHT teachers, although my methods with young people are to encourage their own self education, another reason why I was reluctant to write a book, concerned that readers might “follow” me and I always in such situations quote the “window scene” of the “Life of Brian” film. .”don’t follow me, don’t follow anyone. You are all individuals” (although the ironic fun of this scene, is when one, whom I identify with, replies, I am NOT”)..
I left school, after missing a lot of the years between age of 13-15 through extreme migraine attacks,,, (and then bunking off with the skallies) at 16 went to London and got an office boy/messenger , jack of all trades job at a wine/spirit shipping & forwarding company.. made manager at 19, and commercial manger of another company in my early 20s , my own company owner/MD at 36 indicates that I did not NEED , at least in those days( a document to prove my value ..
The general mentality back then was IF you showed you could do it, you got it…
Sadly, a young person only needs a good memory and ability to cram information before a test to get “qualified” IMO the true leaders are not always the best scholars we tend to question the teachers and IMO very few teachers are “qualified” and certainly very few parents are qualified to take care of the future generations.
So many of the creative people of this planet were from “ordinary” families, Leaders or artists MADE their own way, through many social & other obstructions, as did I, and the decline in society is faulty because of this obsession, in fact OPPRESSION, through “documents” mostly because accountants & administrators rather than creative leaders make modern RULES, or, you have to be a crony, to get a position…
It’s wrong and counterproductive, as the manner of marketing, so many companies competing to sell, results in WASTE, even food is destroyed to retain price on the “market” …instead an INTELLIGENT society should see what is NEEDED by our local or global population, not “wanted” by the sellers or manufactured “greed” or materialism..
Ah but,,, who wants to know about my eco-logistic networking & team community methods?
So we get teachers, who never had to make a true decision, who repeat theory, who never LEFT school, I have explained many times, even with a subject as the English language, that going to an “ooxbridge” course wont help you much on the streets of cockney London, Liverpool, Birmingham or Newcastle..
I recall a young Montenegrin lad, who was a budding entrepreneur already, being sent to Vancouver to take an MBA, he eventually grew a beard, dropped out and rebelled against his father in empathy with the native americans he met there!
